Optimate Pty Ltd is seeking an OSI PI specialist experienced in determining requirements and creating detailed designs, architecture plans, and execution. IT/OT convergence integration experience is a benefit.

Context

A full-time role working from our Perth office, servicing the WA and SA customer market, as well as various customers on the east coast and internationally. Occasional travel required to client site.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • To interact with customers and provide guidance and act as technical liaison with internal Infosys stakeholders to provide resolution in a timely manner
  • To guide and execute PI application development and integration (PI application development using PI SDK, PI AF SDK, PI Webservices, VB.Net, C#, PI OLEDB, Microsoft .NET, Java, and Python, etc.)
  • To support the implementation of Data Analytics and Machine Learning Algorithms using OSI PI suite tools and other open-source tools or any other tools/technologies like R, Python, etc.

Skills/Competencies: Essential

  • Good knowledge of technology landscapes and work well in collaboration with team members.
  • Tertiary Qualification in IT / Computer Science / related discipline.
  • Excellent customer interfacing skills.
  • Strong OSIsoft PI Historian and AF implementation experience
  • Experience with PI application integration with other business application's experience (OSI PI Integration with other business applications like Production Optimization applications, SAP, Asset Management Application and etc.)

Additional Skills

  • Experience in Data Historian systems & Control Systems /SCADA
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.

Bonus Skills

  • Windows experience in system configuration, administration, and support skills to underpin efficient and robust operational technology control system best practices.
  • Experience in system development, application development, and support where the following languages have been used: C/C++, Perl.
  • Experience in debugging TCP/IP network stack.
